CFMOTO V4 SR-RR record — highlights
On June 15, 2026, at the Shangrao automobile testing center in Jiangxi province, drivers Du Bang and Huang Shizhao took the new CFMOTO V4 SR-RR beyond 300 km/h, reaching a national record of 315.82 km/h.
Large displacement superbikes demonstrate manufacturers' capabilities in engines, chassis, electronics, aerodynamics and vehicle dynamics. The CFMOTO thus reinforces its presence in a segment traditionally dominated by Japanese and European brands.
The test was supervised and recorded on video by the Chongqing National Motorcycle Quality Inspection and Testing Center and the Hangzhou National Notary Office. The motorcycle used was a pre-production prototype, without specific competition preparation or modifications dedicated to the speed test.
The 997 cc, liquid-cooled, 90-degree V4 engine was entirely developed by CFMOTO. Includes counter-rotating crankshaft, a solution derived from MotoGP competition. Associated with more than 40 patents, it reaches 15,000 rpm and a maximum power of 157 kW, greater than 210 hp.
CFMOTO V4 SR-RR record — the competition in detail
The advertised dry weight is 180 kg. The electronically controlled active wing system reduces aerodynamic drag by 12% during acceleration and increases aerodynamic load on the front wheel by 45% at high speed.
The electronics are coordinated by a six-axis inertial measurement unit and include e-CBS combined braking, cornering ABS, bidirectional quickshifter, VHC hill start assist, traction control and cruise control.
In 2025, CFMOTO invested 1.22 billion yuan in research and development, corresponding to 6.18% of operating revenue. At the end of that year, it held 2,119 active and authorized patents, including 242 invention patents, and had participated in the drafting of 71 standards.
The experience of victories and world titles in Moto3 and Moto2 contributes to technical development. Participation in the capital of Kalex Engineering opens up new opportunities for evolution. Learning about power curves, chassis stiffness and electronic algorithms is transferred to production models.
Vice-president Chen Zhiyong associated the result with the long-term commitment to its own research and technological improvement in international competition, highlighting the brand's pride in this achievement.
CFMOTO continues to develop its manufacturing capacity and a network of suppliers within a radius of 100 kilometers from its headquarters, combining precision and efficiency. The global strategy covers the brand, technology and local production.
The record corresponds to the maximum speed measured by GPS, achieved by professional riders on a Chinese internal combustion motorcycle, in a closed test center and with official verification and certification.
